Quality is everything to us and our customers. Which is why, in the last 12 months we have made significant additional investment in machines within our state-of-the-art facility.
The latest to join our manufacturing plant are the Nakamura Tome NTY3-150 and the Matsuura MX-850.
The Matsuura MX-850

The Matsuura MX-850 is positioned as the market solution to large and complex lights out machining tasks. The 5-axis vertical machining centre has the ability to run unattended through the use of a number of features, such as:
- Its four pallet change system that can accommodate 400kg per pallet
- It has been configured to hold 60 tools, and has options to hold 90 or 120 tools to continuously process workpieces
- Its use of MAXIA Matsuura spindles which are renowned for their robust operation, sustained high accuracy, low noise and low or non-maintenance requirements
Design advances means that the machine has a large machining enclosure and offers a compact and highly durable machining platform with a maximum workpiece size of Ø850mm x H450mm.
Through this machine we can continue to support client requirements in aluminium and harder nickel alloy materials, at a large scale. Furthermore, the highly reliable machine features a power saving and eco-friendly mode ensuring machine downtime is kept to a minimum.
Nakamura-Tome NTY3-150

Taking a look at the Nakamura-Tome NTY3-150, it is a highly automated multi-tasking CNC machine designed with features that also make it suitable for running lights out. Such as being designed to integrate seamlessly with automation systems to enable automatic material loading and unloading.
Featuring three-turrets, it is capable of holding up to 72 tools, which minimises the need for manual tool changes when running diverse or high-volume jobs. The machine features countered twin spindles and three turrets with Y-axis capabilities, enabling multi-axis turning and milling on the left and right sides. This dramatically reduces cycle times and improves overall speed and throughput.
The machine also features a number of supporting elements that make it cost and energy efficient, without compromising on accuracy or speed. These include ChronoCut, a unique software function by Nakamura-Tome which is designed to reduce idle time during manufacturing. It also employs the use of regenerative energy and energy saving mode.
These two new machines are in addition to earlier investments to bolster our capabilities.
